About Me...

Born and raised in Southampton, Michael Kurn’s professional career began in 2008, after leaving college. He started working on local radio in Southampton, and it was during this time, he realised just how passionate he was about presenting.

Michael worked on Tommy Boyd’s Original 106 Breakfast show, and working with Tommy was an inspiration. He went on to present on other radio stations across the south coast including Play Radio, Andover Sound, Radio Hampshire, Voice FM & Spitfire FM.

In 2008 Michael was asked to present a hockey event in Southampton, where his relationship with England Hockey began. Since then, he has gone to present events across the UK including their flagship event of the year at Wembley Arena ‘The Maxifuel Super Sixes’.

Michael’s versatility has led to a variety of opportunities including being part of the team that launched P&O’s Newest Super Liner the Azura in 2010. As part of his role on-board, he presented game shows and events every night, wowing the passengers with his dynamic style and personality. He also wrote and produced a ship video guide.

Michael presents regularly on the Red Carpet in London’s Leicester Square for LSQ.TV. In the past 12 months, he has interviewed the cast of ‘The Inbetweeners’, ‘Never Say Never’ with Justin Bieber, and ‘The Adventures of Tin Tin’. Michael also covered the London Film Festival in 2010 and 2011.

Other recent TV work has included an exclusive interview with Olly Murs, and presenting at the Gaucho International Polo event at The O2, broadcast on Sky Sports.

Michael currently writes a weekly column in the Southern Daily Echo covering entertainment events across the area, from interviews with local bands to reviewing venues and concerts. He also presents Drive Time on 103.9 Voice FM.

Michael’s dedication extends to his continued work for charity. In January 2012, he hosted his first charity ball for the Wessex Cancer Trust and is currently working on a project to work with Sport Relief.

Michael Kurn is a classy, sophisticated and dynamic presenter whose style appeals to a broad spectrum of ages and audiences. He is dedicated and committed to his work, and continues to lead an extremely busy life.
